Dr. Deborah Mack
Dr. Deborah L. Mack has made a career of interpreting the history and culture of Africa and its heritage in the Americas. She has taught anthropology and African studies; worked in museum collections, film production, and anthropological research; and lectured for educational tours in the United States and Africa. Dr. Mack is one of the original five scholars appointed by the Smithsonian Institution to an advisory committee for the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and directed the installation of Chicago’s Field Museum’s permanent exhibit, Africa.
