Alice Hradilova, born in the Czecho-Moravian highlands of the Czech Republic, has an MA in Art History, Ethnology, and Environmental Studies. Her many interests range from ecological gardening to cross-country skiing and birding. Aside from guiding trips for us and teaching English, she works in a local NGO, creating environmental programs for schools. She has two little sons (both of whom are promising naturalists). Five years ago, she and her family moved from the city to the countryside, where Alice and her husband have been restoring an old farmhouse and organizing various cultural events. Alice loves exploring new landscapes and destinations as well as hiking in the more well-known places. Sharing those experiences with other people is one of the greatest joys in her life.
