Tony Farina, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, earned his degree in Outdoor Experiential Education, with a minor in Liberal Arts, from Prescott College in Arizona, a school known for its programs in environmental studies and adventure education. His passion for travel, mountains, and sea kayaking led him after graduation to become a wilderness guide for a Baja-based company and he has also guided hiking adventures in the continental US. Tony has been guiding in the Alps for us for years and has a particular love for the varied mountains and cultures we enjoy on our Great Alpine Traverse journey. "I enjoy meeting new people, traveling, and immersing myself in new cultures. It's great when you can make a living doing what you love. Hiking in the Alps always means good times, good food, and a great adventure!" Tony lives in Napa, California, and when not guiding in the Alps, can be found enjoying his "dream job," teaching Wood Shop at a high school close to where he grew up.
