Pepe is awesome!
Gregarious, funny, extremely knowledgeable, and super friendly. It seems he knows everyone in Peru. He is the major reason the arduous hiking days were enjoyable.
Pepe was a wonderful leader, responsive to our group's wishes and needs, adaptable, very informative, and quite entertaining. He made us all very comfortable and safe. We learned a lot, experienced a lot, and really enjoyed his personality.
Pepe is a consummate perfectionist, knowledgeable, and well organized. One of the best, if not the best. Great person!
Pepe was an amazing leader. He took great care of all of us and took the time to really help us to understand the country and the real people living there.
Pepe was fun, entertaining, extremely knowledgeable about the trail and area, and took top notch care of us. By the end of the trip, we trusted him completely and couldn't take a step without him. What a difference it makes to have someone with you who's been doing this for over 20 years and still loves it as much as he does.
Pepe was so well versed in archaeology, the rich layers of pre-Inca cultures and Incan culture, that he made a huge difference in our experience. We couldn't have asked for a better guide.
Pepe knows a lot about the natural fauna and flora and was most entertaining - very easy to be with and a lot of fun.
Pepe Lucho is a marvel, entertaining, solicitous of our comfort, able to manage snarls quickly, very knowledgeable—and a barrel of laughs!
Pepe was always making sure the group was safe, feeling good, and having a great time.

Pepe Lucho’s enthusiasm and knowledge of mountains, birds, orchids, and local people really added a lot.
