Federico "Fico" Chacon has been guiding in his home country of Costa Rica since 2004, but life as a guide never keeps you in one place. He has also guided in Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Honduras, and Belize, and has traveled extensively to places including the USA, Norway, Cuba, and the Galápagos. Fico is known for sharing his knowledge with a great sense of humor and his studies range from botany, herpetology, and ornithology, to psychology and social sciences. When he is not guiding, Fico enjoys hiking, reading, and playing ultimate Frisbee.
