Dr Conrad Brain
Conrad Brain, a Namibian conservationist, bush pilot, and wildlife veterinarian, earned his PhD with in-depth research on the desert-dwelling baboons on the Namib, living with baboon troops in Namibia's Kuiseb River Canyon for five years. Later he served as Wildlife Veterinarian for Etosha National Park from 1993 to 2005, where his work included treatment on most large animal species in the park including elephants and black rhinos. He was also Acting Head of Research for the Etosha Ecological Institute. In addition to his field work, he has been cameraman and producer of several award-winning nature documentaries including Giants of Etosha for National Geographic Explorer and Legends of the Bushmen for Turner Original Productions.
