Purevsukh Batbaatar, also known as Puujee, was born in Irkutsk, Russia, but raised in the central part of Mongolia, where he spent his childhood exploring and traveling with his family in the vast countryside. Puujee came to the US for high school, graduating from Denver South High School, then returned to Mongolia to study aeronautical engineering at the School of Mechanical Engineering at Mongolian National University in the capital. He is a delightful young man who has become a very popular Trip Leader, with his infectious enthusiasm and thoroughly professional manner. “I try to share my love for Mongolia’s beauty and nomadic lifestyle, and for its contemporary history as well as the ancient Mongolia of people’s imaginations. I hope trip members take home many wonderful memories of our people and culture.” Puujee has a great passion for sports, including trekking and horseback riding, and last year he became one of the players on his university’s varsity basketball team. He speaks Mongolian, English, and Russian.
