Itinerary-in-Brief

Days 1-2
Roman Ruins, Ancient Bazaars

Visit the ancient Roman city of Jerash, an archaeological masterpiece framed by the hills of Gilead, and explore the ancient citadel and bazaars of Amman.

Days 3-4
Crusader Castles and Petra

Visit Mt. Nebo, from which Moses glimpsed the Promised Land, and Madaba, with its world-famous Roman mosaics, then explore the great Crusader castle at Kerak. At Petra, walk (or ride a horse) through the dramatic narrow entrance to “rose-red” Petra, the fabled ruined city carved from solid red sandstone in a desert canyon in the 3rd century BC. Petra is spectacularly set on the edge of the Wadi Araba, where sheer sandstone hills form a deep canyon that protects the city in all directions.

Day 5
Dead Sea

Head to the beautiful Movenpick Resort on the shores of the Dead Sea and to soak up the therapeutic secrets of its legendary waters. Ever since the days of Herod the Great, people have flocked to the Dead Sea in search of its curative powers.
