Days 1-2
Cusco and the Sacred Valley
Enjoy a Cusco walking tour designed just for you, then head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas for a warm-up hike to the mighty Inca fortress of Pisac, a wondrous ruin that is still an enigma to archaeologists. Overnights in Cusco, ancient heart of the Inca Empire.
Days 3-6
Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
The famed Inca Trail to Machu Picchu threads its way across mountain passes and through fascinating Inca ruins accessible only on foot. Intricate stonework, orchid-draped cloud forests, and breathtaking vistas fill your hiking days, while each evening you are welcomed to a spectacular campsite by our experienced staff. Days 7-8
The Lost City
Hike in the footsteps of the Incas through Intipunku, the Gate of the Sun, and see the world of Machu Picchu revealed before your eyes. The most dramatic of all Inca citadels, Machu Picchu is perched on a deeply terraced saddle between two sharp green peaks and set against a vast panorama of mist-shrouded mountains. American explorer Hiram Bingham came upon this mysterious city of temples on a 1911 expedition and found it completely intact, untouched by the Spanish Conquistadores. Our Deluxe Option includes an overnight at the exclusive Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, the only hotel right at the ruins. Return to Cusco on Day 8.

Cusco
Explore enchanting Cusco, with its Inca-paved streets, colonial mansions, sidewalk cafes, and artisan galleries. Your guide can join you for special excursions.

Mystical Lake Titicaca (12,500'), the ethereal lake at the top of the world, is powerfully beautiful and the legendary birthplace of the first Inca. Explore the floating islands of the Urus Indians, built of totora reeds, and mingle with the traditional weavers on Taquile Island.
