Itinerary-in-Brief

Day 1
Sydney’s Blue Bay

Australia's Olympic City is set along beautiful Sydney Harbour, a gorgeous stretch of water blessed with stunning beaches, rocky islands, and sandstone headlands. From our hotel, Simpson's of Potts Point, your options can include climbing the Sydney Bridge, walking the coast at Bondi Beach, and visiting the famed Opera House.

Days 2-4
Legends of the Outback

The overwhelming grandeur and majestic solitude of the Australian Outback has always held a mystical sway over the human imagination. The Aboriginal Anangu people have lived in this awesome desert for 40,000 years, walking spiritual paths called Dreaming Trails that lead them to their sacred sites. In the Outback's "red center" lies the towering monolith of Ayer's Rock (Uluru), a vision as the sunset paints it scarlet, orange, and purple. Join your guide to hike amid sandstone formations and learn the Anangu Aboriginal stories of the Dreamtime inspired by this incredible landscape. Our accommodation, exclusive Longitude 131°, is set on a sand dune close to the boundary of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. It is the place to absorb the peace and wonder of the Outback. After each day’s fascinating explorations, sleep in luxurious tranquility and wake to views of the brilliant changing color displays over Uluru.

Days 5-9
Experience the Great Barrier Reef

One of the natural wonders of the world, the Great Barrier Reef beckons with its inviting seas in hues of turquoise to emerald green. Now protected as a World Heritage Site, the reef boasts a profusion of marine life, including 359 types of coral, 1,500 species of tropical fish, and over 30 marine mammal species. On Lizard Island, an exquisite resort on a private island, your days are filled with snorkeling, exploring soft, powdery white beaches, and hiking nature trails. Catamarans, paddle skis, sailboards, glass-bottom boat excursions, snorkeling equipment and lessons, tennis day and night (equipment supplied), and picnic hampers for beachside lunches are all included. Lizard Island was named one of the "50 Most Romantic Resorts" by Travel & Leisure. Return to Sydney on the afternoon of Day 9.
