Itinerary-in-Brief

Days 1-2
Stylish Buenos Aires

Enjoy a privately guided visit to this welcoming city, with options including a cooking workshop, artisan tour, or kayak excursion, plus an evening performance of Argentina’s passionate national dance, the tango.

Days 3-6
Mt. Fitzroy and Cerro Torre

Los Glaciares National Park is a spectacular kingdom of ice crowned by the great shark fin of Mt. Fitzroy (11,703'). Within its vast expanses are phenomenal granite spires, opaque blue lakes, subantarctic forests, and 47 major glaciers. Enjoy day hikes with stunning up-close perspectives of Fitzroy and the needle-like peak called Cerro Torre (10,280'), with its sheer 6,000-foot rise from the pampas. Overnights at Hotel Los Cerros, right in the heart of the park.

Days 7-9
Perito Moreno Glacier and Lago Argentino

Journey by boat below the 10-story-high headwall of the famous Moreno Glacier, watching from a safe distance as massive icebergs crash down into the deep blue of Lago Argentino, and hike a path atop the glacier. This creaking, groaning river of ice offers some of the most amazing sights and sounds in South America. Your accommodation, Hosteria Alta Vista, is a cozy 7-room country inn set on an expansive sheep ranch between Glacier National Park and Calafate town. Enjoy hikes or horseback rides to high viewpoints that reveal the vast scale of Patagonia’s mountains and glaciers, go mountain biking, or watch sheep shearing at the ranch.
